Arturs Bush netted a hat trick to lead Wilkes-Barre over Lockport, 6-5.
Bush got on the scoresheet 8:41 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:51 into the second and at 11:13 into the third.
Lockport\’s power play was ineffective against Wilkes-Barre\’s penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.
Lockport was unable to stop Wilkes-Barre from sending pucks towards the net, and Wilkes-Barre eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.
Wilkes-Barre additionally got points from Michael Tugo, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Derek Bureau, who also registered one goal and two assists. Lockport forced Wilkes-Barre goalie Simeon Valonen to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.
Lockport was helped by Ryan Logar, who grabbed two goals. Logar scored the first of his two goals at 14:23 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Christopher Gasiewicz assisted on the tally. Logar\’s next tally made the score 4-4 with 3:22 left in the second period. Nicholas Siracuse picked up the assist. Lockport also had goals scored by Frank II Vecchio, Mark Friol, and Austin Kasperek, who scored one goal each.
