Leisser’s big game bests Roc City in 7-4 Wilkes-Barre win

Daniel Leisser was all over the ice for Wilkes-Barre, as he tallied one goal and four assists in Wilkes-Barre\’s 7-4 win over Roc City.

Leisser beat George Collins with a shot 10:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Michael Tugo picked up the assist. Leisser dished an assist on Francois Lacroix\’s goal that made the score 2-1 Wilkes-Barre at 12:21 into the first period. He then added assists on Derek Bureau\’s goal at 4:42 into the second, on Bureau\’s goal at 5:26 into the second, and on Krystof Rykala\’s goal at 17:35 into the second.

Wilkes-Barre forced Roc City\’s goalies to work all game long, firing 33 shots and forcing 26 saves. Collins made eight stops and Justin Nevinger made 18. Wilkes-Barre surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Wilkes-Barre has scored at the pace of 4.3 goals per game during the current campaign.

Wilkes-Barre additionally got points from Lacroix, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Bureau, who also had two goals and two assists. Arturs Bush also scored for Wilkes-Barre. In addition, Wilkes-Barre received assists from Guillaume St. Germain, Jonathan Wisten, Austin Bandura, and Hunter Hackling, who contributed one each.

Wilkes-Barre was unable to stop Roc City from sending pucks towards the net, and Roc City eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Roc City was helped by Sam Cammilleri, who tallied one goal. Cammilleri scored 3:38 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Wilkes-Barre. Others who scored for Roc City included Wesley Austin, Brian Wade, and Zach Bucholz, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Roc City were Joseph Gardner, John Wise, Connor Guay, John Melcher, Anthony DePetres, and James Lockamyeir, who each chipped in one.

Wilkes-Barre\’s Nolan Bivolcic stopped 34 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Wilkes-Barre incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Roc City incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
