Mandel Jr.'s and O'connor's hat tricks helped the Junior Senators crush the Sharks 19-0

Thomas Mandel Jr. and Tim O'connor led the way with hat tricks as the Binghamton Junior Senators crushed the Long Beach Sharks 19-0 in a home game at Ice House Sports Complex in Binghamton. Eric Melso, Ryan Reifler, Caleb Beversdorf and Domink Bogdziul also had big nights with 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists), 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists), 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) and 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) respectively. Furthermore, the Binghamton Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Sharks with 73 shots throughout the game, to go along with Brady Anderson's shutout. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead early in the first on a goal from C.j. Smith and never looked back.

Benjamin Beversdorf contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and C.j. Smith did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Smith opened the scoring for Binghamton with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:49 with a helper from defenseman Dzhangarashev. Mandel Jr. put in a goal at 10:53 with helpers from Lamorre and Melso. O’connor netted a goal at 15:18 with assists from Beversdorf and Wilber. O’connor scored a goal at 17:56 with assists from his teammates Wilber and Smith.

In the second, Beversdorf deposited a goal at 0:18. Mandel Jr. quickly followed with a goal at 1:05 with helpers from his linemates, Beversdorf and Melso. O’connor scored a goal at 10:18 with an assist from Becker. Melso quickly followed with a goal at 11:27 with helpers from Mandel Jr. and Miller. Beversdorf quickly followed with a goal at 11:46 with assists from his linemates, Mandel Jr. and Melso. Reifler quickly followed with a goal at 12:26 with helpers from O’connor and Bogdziul. Melso quickly followed with a goal at 14:01 with assists from Beversdorf and O’connor. Melso quickly followed with a goal at 15:04 with helpers from Beversdorf and O’connor. Becker quickly followed with a goal at 16:21 with assists from his linemates, Reifler and Bogdziul. Darling netted a goal at 18:27 with helpers from Simmons and Dearing.

In the third, Melso scored a goal at 1:55 with assists from his linemates, Mandel Jr. and Beversdorf. Reifler quickly followed with a goal at 2:37 with helpers from Dzhangarashev and Bogdziul. Bogdziul deposited a goal at 11:58 with assists from Dzhangarashev and Reifler. Mandel Jr. netted a goal at 15:19 with helpers from Lamorre and Melso. Padgeon put in a goal at 18:43 with assists from his linemates, Simmons and Dearing.

The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Anderson’s shutout, as he stopped all 6 of the shots he faced. Anderson’s counterpart, Cortez, also had a big night, managing to stop 32 of 40, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (30-3-0-3).
