Ryan Reifler led the way with a hat trick as the Binghamton Junior Senators crushed the Pittsburgh Vengeance 6-1 in a home game at Alpha Ice Complex in Binghamton. Domink Bogdziul and Brad Becker also had big nights with 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) and 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) respectively. Besides, the Binghamton Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering Pittsburgh with 33 shots throughout the game. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead late in the first on a goal from Domink Bogdziul and never looked back.
Geoffrey Lamorre did his part, adding 2 assists and Tim O’connor chipped in with 2 assists.
In the first, Becker opened the scoring for Binghamton with a goal at 16:09 with helpers from Reifler and O’connor. Bogdziul quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:08 with helpers from his teammates Becker and Lamorre.
In the second period, Reifler deposited a goal at 3:32 with assists from his linemates, Becker and Bogdziul. Reifler netted a goal at 15:17 with helpers from his linemates, Bogdziul and Becker.
During the third, Reifler put in a goal at 0:16 with assists from Bogdziul and O’connor. Glavach finally put Pittsburgh on the board with a goal at 6:46. Randall quickly followed with a goal at 7:40 with helpers from Bogdziul and Lamorre.
The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Anderson’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced. Anderson’s counterpart, De Simone, also had a big night, managing to stop 18 of 23, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (25-3-0-2).
