Sens win 30th of the season in SWEEP of Northeast!

Binghamton 2 @ Northeast 1 – Mike Padgeon scored just past midway through the third period to snap a 1-1 deadlock and lift the Jr. Senators to a 2-1 victory over the Generals on the road. Dinmukhamed Dzhangarashev of Binghamton and Kolye Bankauskas of Northeast traded goals in the middle 20 before Padgeon’s late winner. Jeff Zero stonewalled 41 pucks for the Sens, while John Driscoll posted 31 saves in the Generals’ crease.

Binghamton 9 @ Northeast 2 – A 7-1 scoring run in the final 34 minutes of action saw the Senators roll over the Generals 9-2 on Saturday. Mike Padgeon (3g,2a) and Eric Melso (5a) led the way for Binghamton with five points apiece, helped by two goals from Thomas Liebold and individual markers by Dinmukhamed Dzhangarashev, Nico Corsaro, Zach Bell and Greg Simmons. Jeff Zero snagged the 41-save win, allowing goals only to Northeast’s Tyler Rudek and Carson Asper. Jeb Barrett finished with 43 stops in the Generals’ crease.

The Binghamton Junior Senators move to 30-6-0 on the season with a commanding lead in the Northeast Division. With a win this upcoming weekend against Oswego, the squad will clinch the division for the 3rd season in a row. The Junior Senators will travel to Oswego for a 7:30pm game on Friday and play at home against them on Saturday, with an 8:45pm start.
