Colin Burgess came up big, stopping 28 of 30 shots throughout the game. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead early in the second on a goal from Michael Padgeon.
Michael Padgeon did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Ryan Reifler delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first period, Melso opened the scoring for Binghamton with a goal at 5:39 with helpers from Thomas and Miller. Reifler quickly followed with a goal at 7:13 with helpers from his linemates, Padgeon and Becker. Colclough finally put Jersey Shore on the board with a goal at 19:50.
In the second period, Padgeon answered for the Junior Senators with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:54 with assists from Lamorre and Reifler. Johnson answered for the Wildcats with a goal at 13:11 with helpers from his teammates Randall and Dzhangarashev.
During the third period, Wilber answered for Binghamton with a goal at 0:54. Padgeon deposited a goal at 9:16. Mukovoz netted a goal at 14:00 with assists from Melso and Miller.
The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Burgess’ big night as he stopped 28 of the 30 shots he faced. Burgess’ counterpart, Uebel, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 32, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (11-3-0-0).
