Ryan Reifler had a big night with 5 points (4 goals, 1 assist) as the Binghamton Junior Senators crushed the Skylands Kings 12-0 in a home game at Ice House Sports Complex in Binghamton. Besides, Brady Anderson posted a shutout, stopping all 17 of Skylands shots throughout the game. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead early in the first on a goal from Domink Bogdziul and never looked back.
Rc Randall did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Caleb Beversdorf contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first period, Bogdziul opened the scoring for Binghamton with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:06 with helpers from his linemates, Reifler and Becker. Melso quickly followed with a goal at 5:26 with helpers from his linemates, Beversdorf and Mandel Jr. Wilber deposited a goal at 12:55 with assists from his linemates, Randall and Smith.
During the second, O’connor scored a goal at 10:17 with an assist from his teammate Beversdorf. Reifler put in a goal at 14:11 with a helper from fellow Junior Senators forward Bogdziul. Randall quickly followed with a goal at 15:00 with an assist from defenseman O’connor.
During the third, Reifler deposited a goal at 0:10 with helpers from Darling and O’connor. Beversdorf scored a goal at 2:39 with assists from his linemates, Melso and Mandel Jr. Randall netted a goal at 4:42 with a helper from Mandel Jr. Simmons put in a goal at 10:48 with assists from Padgeon and Lamorre. Reifler quickly followed with a goal at 12:31 with a helper from his linemate Becker. Reifler deposited a goal at 16:41 with an assist from Becker.
The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Anderson’s shutout, as he stopped all 17 of the shots he faced. Anderson’s counterpart, Sears, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 53, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (29-3-0-3).
