Tim O'connor and Brad Becker had big nights with 4 points (4 goals, 0 assists) and 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) respectively as the Binghamton Junior Senators crushed the Oswego Stampede 10-0 in a home game at Anthony J. Crisafulli Rink in Binghamton. Furthermore, Brady Anderson posted a shutout, stopping all 22 of Oswego shots throughout the game. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead early in the first on a goal from Tim O'connor and never looked back.
Caleb Beversdorf did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Domink Bogdziul had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first period, O’connor opened the scoring for Binghamton with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:38 with helpers from teammates Espe and Simmons. Beversdorf netted a goal at 9:21 with a helper from Espe. Becker deposited a goal at 19:43 with an assist from Reifler.
In the second, O’connor put in a goal at 3:15 with helpers from Beversdorf and Melso. Reifler quickly followed with a goal at 4:19 with an assist from fellow Junior Senators forward Becker. O’connor scored a goal at 13:34 with a helper from Bogdziul. Lamorre put in a goal at 19:20 with an assist from his defensive partner, Miller.
In the third period, Bogdziul deposited a goal at 11:44 with a helper from his linemate Becker. Becker netted a goal at 17:13 with an assist from Reifler. O’connor quickly followed with a goal at 18:10.
Binghamton’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Anderson’s shutout, as he stopped all 22 of the shots he faced. Anderson’s counterpart, Kozikoski, also had a big night, managing to stop 63 of 73, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (40-3-0-3).
