Domink Bogdziul had a big night with 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) as the Binghamton Junior Senators crushed the Oswego Stampede 6-0 in a home game at Ice House Sports Complex in Binghamton. As well, the Binghamton Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering Oswego with 48 shots throughout the game, to go along with Colin Burgess' shutout. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead early in the first on a goal from Ryan Reifler and never looked back.
Geoffrey Lamorre did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Thomas Mandel Jr. delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).
In the first, Reifler opened the scoring for Binghamton with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:17 with helpers from his linemates, Mandel Jr. and Bogdziul. Wilber netted a goal at 15:04 with helpers from teammates Bogdziul and O’connor.
In the second period, Bogdziul put in a goal at 3:38 with assists from his linemates, Mandel Jr. and Reifler. Lamorre deposited a goal at 9:52 with helpers from Bogdziul and Beversdorf.
In the third, Beversdorf scored a goal at 3:50 with assists from Beversdorf and Lamorre. Mandel Jr. netted a goal at 8:22 with helpers from his linemates, Reifler and Bogdziul.
The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Burgess’ shutout, as he stopped all 14 of the shots he faced. Burgess’ counterpart, Kozikoski, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 42, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (2-0-0-0).
