The Junior Senators shutout the Stampede 9-0

The Binghamton Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Oswego Stampede with 57 shots throughout the game, to go along with Colin Burgess' shutout. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Geoffrey Lamorre and never looked back.

Tim O’connor chipped in with 2 goals and Gregory Simmons had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Lamorre opened the scoring for Binghamton with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:51 with helpers from his teammates Wilber and Smith. Dearing netted a goal at 15:50 with an assist from his linemate Simmons. O’connor deposited a goal at 19:13 with a helper from Bogdziul.

During the second period, Mandel Jr. put in a goal at 4:12 with an assist from fellow Junior Senators forward Beversdorf. Simmons netted a goal at 12:14 with a helper from Beversdorf. Bogdziul scored a goal at 14:41 with an assist from Reifler. Smith quickly followed with a goal at 15:02 with a helper from his linemate Wilber. Reifler deposited a goal at 19:59 with assists from his linemates, Bogdziul and Becker.

In the third, O’connor put in a goal at 18:11 with a helper from Melso.

Binghamton’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Burgess’ shutout, as he stopped all 12 of the shots he faced. Burgess’ counterpart, White, also had a big night, managing to stop 19 of 25, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (33-3-0-3).
