Wilkes-Barre downs East Coast, 6-3

Guillaume St. Germain racked up two points to lead Wilkes-Barre to a 6-3 victory over East Coast.

In the losing effort, East Coast was paced by Anton Ridgard, who registered two goals. Ridgard scored the first of his two goals at 18:37 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Marek Kocis picked up the assist. Ridgard\’s next tally made the score 3-1 East Coast with 3:38 left in the second period. East Coast earned a power play opportunity when St. Germain was put in the box for interference. Vlademir Dyabenev assisted on the tally.

East Coast was unable to stop Wilkes-Barre from sending pucks towards the net, and Wilkes-Barre eventually piled up 63 shots on goal. Wilkes-Barre was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Wilkes-Barre also had goals scored by Lewis Hackling, Jonathan Wisten, Austin Bandura, Derek Bureau, and Daniel Leisser, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wilkes-Barre received assists from Francis Lacroix, who had two and Zak Bouve, Johannes Leitner, Jan Mendel, Arturs Bush, Logan Obes, Krystof Rykala, and Hunter Hackling, who contributed one each.

East Coast\’s offense rang up 37 shots on Wilkes-Barre\’s net.

Samu Landen also scored for East Coast. Other players who recorded assists for East Coast were Steven Leonard, Jovanni Geha, and John Field, who each chipped in one.
